About this section
Samurai: armoured warriors, duels, masks, katana, scenes in the spirit of historical woodblock prints.
Samurai armour is plates and lacing — a repeating pattern with a firm outline. It paints more easily than European plate with its highlights on smooth metal. A tenth of the section runs at level five, the designs with haze and glow. The section currently holds 179 designs.
Sizes, difficulty and palette
Canvas formats here run from 40x50 to 80x120 cm — 11 sizes in total. The most common one is 50x70 cm: 26 designs.
Difficulty runs from level 2 to level 5, and level 3 covers 89% of the designs. Palettes range from 11 to 24 colours.
What comes in the box
Every kit in this section ships the same way: a cotton canvas already stretched over a wooden frame, numbered acrylic paints, two brushes, a control sheet and instructions. Nothing else is needed to start, and once the paint has dried the canvas hangs on the wall without a frame.
